Code of Ethics

The IGEL Code of Ethics sets the standards for the way we conduct business, in reflection of our fundamental values and the IGEL culture. This code applies to all our employees globally and is a foundation for policies and practices.

Our code is a guide for our employees as we preserve IGEL’s culture of trust and integrity, and to help each employee understand what is expected of them, how to make good decisions and when to raise concerns.

Trust – we all make a difference

Asking questions and raising concerns in good faith, even when one is not sure whether something violates our standards or policies, is important to maintaining a culture of trust. IGEL employees are encouraged to use any of the reporting options available – as outlined in the code. You can be sure that no inquiry based on your report made in good faith will result in retaliation of any kind.

If you have reservations about disclosing your name, our Ombudslawyers provide a secure reporting channel on the internet for reports on possible compliance violations. Reports can be submitted there around the clock, exclusively anonymously and untraceable. You can use the communication platform to contact the Ombudslawyers and exchange documents. To ensure that even calling up the Whistleblower System cannot be traced, we recommend that you use the following link in a trusted environment, in a new browser window and using the so-called “private window” (Firefox) or “incognito window” (Chrome).
